I Believe the Most Important Thing When Choosing a Hairdresser Is the Person, Not Just the Skill.

When choosing a hair salon, what matters most to you?
Is it the price?
The technical skill?
The location?
The reviews, facilities, or the shampoo and treatments they use?
All of these are important.
But I believe that, in the end, the most important factor is the person.
People Choose Places Because of the Person
This is not only true for hair salons.
Supermarkets, bakeries, doctors, dentists, car dealerships, and pharmacies.
There are many places we visit again and again in our daily lives.
Of course, price, quality, and convenience all matter.
But sometimes, those things alone cannot explain why we choose a place.
Have you ever felt that way?
Even if it’s a little farther away.
Even if it’s a little more expensive.
“I want that person to help me.”
Sometimes, there is someone who makes us feel that way.
It is not because they provide extraordinary service.
Talking with them makes us feel at ease.
They naturally make us smile.
They give us positive energy.
I believe we are drawn to their character.
The same is true for hairdressers.
No matter how skilled a hairdresser is, or how advanced their products and equipment may be, if people do not feel, “I’d like this person to do my hair again,” it is difficult to build a relationship that lasts.
Develop Your Character as Much as Your Skills
Of course, hairdressing is a technical profession.
Haircuts, hair color, perms, and hair straightening.
Continuing to improve technical skills is simply part of the job.
But I believe it is equally important to continue growing as a person.
How was my customer service today?
Maybe I could have understood my client a little better.
Maybe I could have chosen words that made them feel even more comfortable.
I reflect on these things every day.
Of course, I am not a perfect person.
That is exactly why I want to keep doing work that brings happiness to others, little by little.
Time spent in a hair salon is about more than simply styling hair.
I believe that creating moments like these can improve not only someone’s hairstyle, but also make each day feel just a little more positive.
