International Hairdresser TAKA
Discover the Beauty That’s Uniquely Yours —
Not a Copy of Someone Else’s

Introduction
Located on the 4th floor of Amu Plaza, right next to Kagoshima-Chuo Station,
I, Taka, work as a freelance hairdresser providing private, one-on-one sessions, limited to just two clients per day.
While I speak both Japanese and English, I also use a translation app to communicate with clients from any background or language.
If you’ve ever felt:
- “Will they really understand me?”
- “I get nervous at salons.”
- “I’m worried about language barriers.”
I’ve carefully designed a calm and welcoming space so you can feel at ease from the moment you walk in.
My Background
2010 – Tokyo, Omotesando
I started my career at PEEK-A-BOO, the salon founded by Fumio Kawashima, who inherited the techniques of Vidal Sassoon — the London hairdresser who revolutionized haircutting.
2018 – London, UK
I worked with over 10,000 international clients from various backgrounds.
My haircut rebooking rate exceeded 90%.
Recognized for my technical skill, I became an Art Director at one of London’s top salons.
I also trained many stylists from all over the world as an educator.
2023 – Kagoshima, Japan
After returning home for parenting, I became independent.
I offer private sessions for two clients per day, aiming to deliver world-class technique and personalized service for ultimate satisfaction.
My Concept: Not Just “Good Hair” — Hair That Reveals Your Beauty
My approach isn’t just about making your hair look “nice.”
It’s about designing hair that reveals what’s special and beautiful about you.
With my experience, I offer a wide range of personalized hairstyle options.
Do you have insecurities about your appearance?
Have you ever felt:
- “I don’t know what looks good on me.”
- “I just choose safe hairstyles or fashion like everyone else.”
- “I can’t explain what I want at the salon, so I just say ‘do whatever.’”
I always prioritize helping clients overcome these concerns.
But even more important is discovering and expressing your unique charm.
And I can confidently say:
Everyone has something beautiful that only they possess.
Over the years, I’ve styled more than 10,000 clients from all walks of life — and this truth has never changed.
When I say “beauty,” I mean both the outside (your look) and the inside (your personality).
- Your eyes might be beautiful.
- Your gray hair might be striking.
- Your kindness, your ambition — those are all beautiful too.
Hair can express both your outer and inner beauty.
How I Help You Shine
To bring out your charm, I focus on helping you overcome the things you don’t like about your appearance.
- Concerned about your face shape or body silhouette?
- Don’t like your hair texture?
- Worried about thinning or gray hair?
No matter how small the concern, I’ll help improve it through tailored hair solutions.
Hair That Boosts Your Confidence
I believe hairstyling is a job that boosts a person’s self-esteem.
When you’re happy with what you see in the mirror in the morning, your day — and your mindset — can completely change.
- “I love my hairstyle — it makes me feel happy.”
- “I feel confident meeting people or working.”
- “Life’s tough sometimes, but I can keep going.”
That’s the kind of transformation I aim to support.
We’ll take small steps together:
- Try changing just the bangs.
- Add a subtle new hair color.
Even a small change can unlock a new version of you.
Turning Insecurities Into Highlights
With time:
- Instead of hiding gray hair, we’ll color it in a way that turns it into a highlight.
- Instead of straightening curly hair, we’ll cut or perm it to show off its beauty.
Your “flaws” can become your strengths.
That’s the true essence of personalized beauty.
That said, not everyone wants something new.
- “I like my usual hairstyle.”
- “I want the same color or perm as always.”
And that’s perfectly okay.
There’s no need to change what you already love.
But even if you keep your usual look, I encourage you to think about why you choose it — because that reason affects the quality of the design.
Two Clients, One Style — But Different Meanings
Let’s say two people have long hair.
One might say:
“It’s trendy, easy to tie up, and I don’t know what else to do — so I keep it long.”
Another might say:
“My face is round, so I want a longer look.
I don’t always have time to style my hair in the morning, so tying it up helps.
But sometimes, I’d like to curl it or try highlights — that’s why I choose long hair.”
Same long hair.
But the design quality — and attention to detail — becomes completely different when it’s rooted in personal intention.
What Kind of Salon Am I Building?
Hair Design is Like a Medical Diagnosis
Three hundred years ago, hairdressers were considered similar to surgeons.
Yet many salons today ask:
- “What hairstyle or color do you want today?”
- “How many centimeters shall I cut?”
These questions lack professional assessment or deep understanding of the person.
I believe stylists, like doctors, must constantly improve their knowledge and skills.
For Those Nervous About Saying “Do Whatever”
Many of my clients don’t just come for a haircut — they come seeking peace or support through beauty.
I listen carefully and prioritize what you’re most anxious about, so our time together becomes truly relaxing.
I also consider your lifestyle, fashion, and social context — not just your hair or scalp condition — before offering any service.
No Fixed Ideas. No Stereotypes.
I want to help you express how you want to live through your hair.
- Women can look strong.
- Men can look cute.
I welcome everyone — regardless of nationality, gender identity, religion, profession, or background.
I work with all hair types, no matter your ethnicity.
Nervous About Language? No Problem.
I speak English and Japanese.
But I also use a translator app so we can communicate in any language.
True One-on-One Care
I personally handle every step of your visit.
I keep detailed records of every client to ensure maximum satisfaction.
All tools and capes are either brand new or thoroughly sanitized.
Even drinks are served in disposable cups for cleanliness.
Transparent Pricing
Each service (cut, color, perm, or straightening) has just one flat fee.
Scalp + hair treatments have only two options.
Prices do not change based on hair length or design.
You can book with full peace of mind.
In Closing
You may notice many similar hairstyles when you walk through town.
No matter the salon, the stylists, the service, or the hair — everything feels the same.
There’s nothing wrong with “sameness.”
Sometimes it’s necessary to follow rules, depending on your social context.
But let me ask you this:
Is your current hairstyle something you truly wanted?
I’m not asking you to go for a wild or edgy look.
Just try something small — even changing your bangs — and see what happens.
You’ll start to discover your true “shape.”
And once you do, your unique beauty will naturally shine.
If you’ve ever felt:
- “I’m not comfortable in salons.”
- “I’m not sure they’ll understand me.”
Please reach out before booking.
Even a quick consultation is welcome.
Seeing someone’s hair worries transform into confidence —
that’s the greatest joy in my work.
I look forward to welcoming you soon.
