Career

・Born in Yamagata, Japan

Following his parents on the path of beauty, he aimed to become a top hairdresser.

・In 2012

Vidal Sassoon, a London-based hairdresser who laid the foundations of haircutting in the global beauty industry.

And then there’s Kawashima Fumio, a Japanese hairdresser who inherited Vidal Sassoon’s techniques.

To learn the reliable haircutting techniques of these people, Taka began working at Kawashima’s hair salon, PEEK-A-BOO, in Omotesando, Tokyo.

・In 2018

To broaden the scope of his work, he moved to London.

Serving customers of diverse nationalities and races, he honed his language skills and techniques.

・In 2020

Appointed to the highest rank of Art Director at a top salon in London.

He found treatments that not only improve complexes, but also brought out good individuality.

Haircuts in particular were highly popular, with over 90% of customers booking haircuts.

In addition, as technical director, he produced hair stylists of various nationalities.

・In 2023

Taka began to question the fact that customers decide the treatment content at hair salons and hairdressers have no autonomy.

He decided to start his own business to make better use of the skills and knowledge he has gained from his experience so far.

・In May 2023

After his son was born in London, he moved to Kagoshima to raise his child in a warm, natural place.

He started his business by providing the latest tools and chemicals of global standards for people of various races and nationalities.

Taka works as a freelance hairdresser at Grand Camus of hair salon, located on the 4th floor of AMU Plaza, directly connected to Kagoshima Chuo Station.

He is attentive and detailed and remembers everything about you, be they anything to do with your hair, what you talked about on your chitchats or your preferences. He restored my damaged hair and scalp from over colouring (from elsewhere) to healthy, luscious locks - all the while still colouring my hair and achieving the exact shade of brown that I love.

His hair wash and scalp massage is amazing. There’s no word for it.

I’m absolutely gutted he has left London. Not sure how I’m going to find another hair stylist who is perfect in every way! He is already sorely missed.

Taka is exceptional and always delivers to a high standard with results exceeding expectations. He is meticulous, considerate and creative, and overall a very kind and friendly person.
