99% of Information May Be “Advertising.” That’s Why the Real Question Is: Who Do You Choose?

Whenever we search for something on the internet, we inevitably judge based on the “information” we see.
The same goes for finding a hair salon. If you type “hair salon,” “hairdresser,” or “hairstyle” into Google, you’ll almost always see Hot Pepper Beauty or large corporate advertising sites at the very top.

But how much of that information truly holds value?
Honestly, there are times when I feel it may not even be 1%.

Latest Technology and Equipment — Is That Really Value?

Open an advertising site and you’ll see a flood of words like:
“Latest treatment”
“Latest chemical products”
“Latest techniques”
lined up everywhere.

Of course, for those who are looking for that, there’s nothing wrong with it. If low prices or trendy equipment are all that matter, that choice is completely valid.

But haven’t you already started to notice?
“This feels like pure advertising.”
“Is this really true?”
You’ve probably thought that, too.

Profit-Driven Work vs. Work With True Meaning

Much of the world’s work is built around “profit.”
Clients are treated as numbers, and the goal is to maximize revenue.
I don’t mean to deny this—it’s necessary for a business to survive.

But there are times when I feel that only a small fraction of people are doing work with true “meaning.”
Seeing each client not as a number but as a “person.”
Facing the person in front of you with sincerity.
That, I believe, is where the real value lies.

The Age of Individuals — Choosing “Who,” Not “What”

From now on, what matters won’t be just the surface-level “latest technology” or “latest equipment.”
What matters is: “Who is doing the work, and with what kind of intention?”

What kind of background does that person have? What kind of values do they hold in their work?
Do they have the mindset to stand by their clients’ lives, beyond mere profit?

Most likely, that is what you value most as well.

99% of information may be advertising.
But it’s within the remaining 1% that true value lies.

That 1% is probably what you’re searching for.
Which is why, instead of asking “Which technique should I choose,”
the real question is, “Who do I entrust with my hair?”

At the end of the day, it isn’t “technique” that cuts hair — it’s a “person.”
