No Two Hairstyles Are the Same — Beauty Lies in the Details of Hair Design

Even the same hairstyle can take on a completely different meaning and appearance depending on why it is chosen and who wears it.

Clients often request, “Please do it the same as last time,” or “Make it like that person’s hairstyle.” But in reality, it is impossible to reproduce the *exact same hairstyle*. That’s because subtle differences always arise depending on who the stylist is — their sense of touch and perception vary. Even when the same stylist works on the same client, the details inevitably change depending on the condition of the hair and shifts in the client’s lifestyle at that moment.

What I always focus on is not just “the hairstyle itself,” but “the reason behind choosing that hairstyle.”
Why do they want that style now? Why did they choose that particular look over others? What kind of daily life do they lead? What are their values and background? These are all things I make sure to explore through consultation.

For example, even if two people both want short hair, the details they seek will differ if one is aiming for a clean-cut image for work and the other wants to move actively and freely. Adjusting the bangs by just 1–2 millimeters, or slightly thinning the nape area — these fine adjustments create a shape that truly suits that individual.

In other words, hairstyles are not mass-produced like ready-made products. Only by understanding each client’s background and identity, and layering personalized adjustments, can we create a unique, original look for them.

To a third party, the result might appear to be “the same hairstyle.” But the details are undoubtedly different.
There’s a saying, “God is in the details,” and I believe that’s exactly true for the world of beauty. High-quality design, and high-quality work, reside precisely in those small, delicate details.
